Chief Executive appointed

Tukituki Water Security Ltd (TWSL) has appointed former Waimea Water Ltd CEO Mike Scott to lead the Tukituki Water Security Project.

At Waimea Water Ltd Mike was responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of the Waimea Community Dam, which was commissioned in 2024.

TWSL Board Chair Mike Petersen said he is very pleased to have Mike join the team.

“Mike and his team have significant and recent dam engineering and construction skills and experience,” he said.

Having grown up in the Hawke’s Bay, Mike is drawn to the project given its role in the future of the region’s economy.

“Not only will the dam provide significant economic benefit to the region, but its design and construction will generate hundreds of jobs,” he said.

Mike brings relevant international and domestic project, engineering and operations executive experience. Mike has a Master of Engineering with Distinction in Civil Engineering and has 33 years’ postgraduate experience in business and project development, strategy, planning, operations and engineering in predominantly the energy sector in Australia, Scotland, the United States and New Zealand. Mike was previously a Vice President at Australian listed Woodside Energy Ltd.
