Project Structure

The Tukituki Water Security Project (TWSP) is a community project being developed by Tukituki Water Security Ltd (TWSL), a privately owned company. Investors will invest in a Limited Partnership called Tukituki Water LP with TWSL being the General Partner that will manage the project on behalf of investors.

Separate from TWSL, is the Hawke’s Bay Water Community Trust (Community Trust) that has been formed as a partnership between mana whenua, the Central Hawke’s Bay District Council and water users, to advocate for water security for the community and future citizens of Hawke’s Bay. The Community Trust will own the intellectual property (IP), including consents, of the previous Ruataniwha Water Storage Scheme (RWSS) to ensure this IP is owned by the community. The Trust will licence to TWSL the use of the IP for the development and operation of the project. 

The Trust represents the partnership between mana whenua, the Central Hawke’s Bay District Council and water users, on behalf of the community and future citizens of Hawke’s Bay. The Trust will licence to TWSL the use of the IP for the development of the project.
